Creating A Custom Template

Meridian allows you to create a completely customized listing template with your own layout, colors, and logos using straight HTML or your favorite HTML editor.

  • 1. Go to the Templates section of the Listing Tab.
    Click on the Listing tab (1) and then click on the orange Templates button (2).  This will load the  default template for the market of of the current auction.  

     

  • 2. Use Default Layout Or Choose A Layout / Template
    You can modify the default template or you can load another template by clicking on the Meridian Templates button (3a). A window will pop up that allows you to choose from five different layouts and seven different colors. Once you have selected a layout and color then click the apply button (4a) and this layout will be applied to the current template that you are working on.

     
    For those that prefer to use your own custom template you can click the Custom Template button(4a).  This will pop up a dialog box where you can locate the HTML template file that you want to use and click the open button(4b).  This will merge the auction information and pictures with the custom template that you selected. In order to merge the auction information and pictures with the template you will have to make sure that you are using the proper custom tags.

 

  • 4. Make Modifications To The Template 
    Once the layout or custom template has been chosen you can start to ad logos, pictures, and or    text to the template. You can alter the font, color, etc. of the text using the editor controls(5).

  • 4. Save The Template As Your Account Default 
    Once you have a template that you are satisfied with you can save the auction to your local machine or you can save the template as your default template for your eBay or Overstock auctions. All you have to do is click the "eBay" or "Overstock" button to save the template for use with Overstock or eBay listings (6a). If you want to set the template as the default for Overstock or eBay then  click the "Overstock Default" or "eBay Default" button (6a) to save the template to your account for the respective market. Or you can click the red Save button near the top of the page to save the template to your local machine(6b).
